My client is a growing organisation seeking a talented Accountant with 5+ years of experience to join their finance team. The Role:
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as compliance with financial regulations. You will play a key role in financial reporting and performance analysis, providing insights to senior management and helping drive the financial success of the company. Additionally, you will assist with processing monthly payments and HR-related accounting functions such as payroll. The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of IFRS i.e. international financial reporting standards (big 4 audit experiences preferred).
 

Key Candidate Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
  • Conduct variance analysis by comparing actual results with budgets and forecasts, and explain key discrepancies.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of the company’s annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Prepare and present financial performance reporting and metrics to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting standards (IFRS) and assist with external audits.
  • Process monthly supplier payments and handle payroll-related financial functions.
 
Key Candidate Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for providing accurate financial insights. You’ll also need to be a team player who can collaborate with various departments to ensure financial efficiency. The ideal candidate would be from Accounting/Finance background; with some knowledge of IFRS i.e. international financial reporting standards (big 4 audit experiences preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • CA qualification or on the path to becoming CA or CPA certified.
  • Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced skills).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
