We are seeking a driven and experienced HR Advisor who will take on a sole charge role in both human resources and sustainability within our client’s organisation. They are a NZ owned and operated SME sized business with big growth plans over the next couple of years, this is a perfect time to join the team and asist as they scale nationally!
This position is perfect for someone who excels in HR generalist work and is looking for a move or to stay in a sole charge HR role working closely with the business founders. The ideal candidate will have the skills to manage HR functions such as onboarding, training, and payroll, while also spearheading the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Staff Onboarding & Induction: Facilitate a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring they are well-integrated into the company culture and equipped for success.
- Training & Performance Management: Design and implement training programs to enhance employee development, and manage performance review processes to support continuous improvement.
- Payroll Management: Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments.
- HR System Implementation: Lead the introduction and maintenance of HR systems that streamline processes and enhance data management capabilities.
- Sustainability Policy Development: Lead the creation and execution of the company’s sustainability policy, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and industry best practices.
- Employee Engagement: Cultivate a positive workplace culture that emphasises sustainability, diversity, and overall employee satisfaction.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with all HR-related regulations and sustainability standards, and provide regular reports to senior management.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Environmental Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in HR management, ideally within a sustainability-focused organisation.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll systems, HR software, and legal compliance.
- Experience in developing and implementing sustainability policies and programs.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.
- A passion for sustainability and a commitment to fostering a positive workplace.
- Must have valid NZ working rights.
