84 Recruitment are working with a family-owned, rapidly growing business looking for skilled technicians to join their team. You'll work on a variety of commercial and industrial projects, from small retail outlets to large-scale fuel import and distribution facilities.

About the Role:
As an HVAC & Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems. You’ll work across diverse sites, ensuring equipment runs smoothly and efficiently. Over time, as you gain experience in the role, you may have the opportunity to take on leadership and management responsibilities. This would include supervising HVAC staff and subcontractors, ensuring efficient task allocation, optimizing performance, and overseeing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair faults in HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing
  • Install new equipment and manage project work
  • Deliver top-tier customer service and technical support


What's required?
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in HVAC and refrigeration
  • NZQA Level 4 Qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
  • EST License (Electrical Service Technician)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Adept at building and maintaining client relationships and attending client meetings to ensure satisfaction
  • Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol testing
  • Valid NZ driver’s license
