Intermediate planner

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Intermediate Planner to join a well-established consultancy in Auckland. This company specialises in delivering a full range of services across land development and civil engineering, working on diverse projects that shape communities and infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing resource consent applications, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with planning regulations. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects while collaborating with a team of experts in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and managing resource consent applications
Conducting site assessments and feasibility studies
Engaging with councils, stakeholders, and clients
Interpreting and applying local planning policies and regulations
Supporting senior planners and mentoring junior staff
 
Key Requirements: 
Minimum of 2 years of New Zealand planning experience
Strong knowledge of the Resource Management Act (RMA) and planning frameworks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
