National Business Development Manager

As they continue to grow, they are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Business Development Manager to join their team.

As the National Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of our client's business across the country. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers, and developing strategic plans to increase market share. This role requires a proactive and strategic thinker with a proven track record in business development and the proven ability to tender and win sales, preferably within the commercial cleaning space or a related industry such as chemicals, manufacturing or packaging. 

Key Candidate Responsibilities: 
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
  • Sales Management: Lead and manage the sales team to ensure the achievement of sales goals and objectives. Monitor and complete tenders, sales presentations, manage and man tradeshows when necessary.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, operations, and product development, to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, performance, and market trends to senior management.
Key Candidate Responsibilities: 
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development or sales management, preferably in the commercial cleaning or a related industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving business growth in a consultative environment.
  • Ability to use technology and analysis tools (Excel, Outlook, web, databases)
  • Executive presence to influence senior decision-makers with customers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel nationally as required.
