About the role 

As a senior member of the development team, this role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership, and ensuring the successful delivery of software solutions aligned with industry standards and best practices.
We are seeking someone who enjoys making a difference, being challenged, has a high degree of initiative, an ability to learn quickly and to operate in a complex environment. The Senior Software Engineer leads, coaches and mentors other junior Software Engineers, and contributes to the evolution of the software engineering disciplines; development, application architecture, operations, automation, testing and DevOps.

Responsibilities 

  • Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, utilizing version control systems and collaboration tools for efficient team development.
  • Use accepted theory and practices to develop and deploy continuous improvement actions to ensure implementation of continuous improvement of software engineering strategies
  • Liaise with stakeholders to create solutions that solve business problems and improve customer experience
  • Assist in automation, deployment, and monitoring activities
  • Work with the tech leads to deliver features for the product and engineering roadmap and ensure projects are delivered on time, and to best practice & quality guidelines
What you need?
  • Minimum of 4 years experience working in a commercial software development environment
  • Demonstrable experience in working with JavaScript .Net, C#, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Angular and test driven environment
  •  CI/CD - Continuous Delivery (GitHub Actions, Octopus, Jenkins or similar)
  • An ability to write and improve on existing suite of unit and integration tests
  • Solid knowledge of Azure Cloud, IAAS, PAAS, Micro Services and Kubernetes
