About the roleThe way organisations reward, develop, and engage their people is evolving. As a Workday Senior Functional Consultant, you’ll play a key role in shaping that transformation—leading the implementation of Workday’s Advanced Compensation and Performance modules while setting the foundation for future expansions, including time scheduling.
This is an opportunity to
own a critical workstream within a high-impact project. You’ll guide clients through complex decisions, design tailored solutions, and ensure Workday delivers meaningful value to their business. Day to day- Spearhead Workday’s Advanced Compensation & Performance implementations, Translate business strategies into Workday configurations that empower organisation to recognize, develop, and reward their people effectively.
- Lead with expertise. Design incentive structures, performance frameworks, and compensation strategies that align with client needs and industry best practices.
- Take ownership of full-cycle delivery. From initial discovery sessions to testing, go-live, and post-implementation support, you’ll be the key point of contact ensuring seamless execution.
- Guide clients through change. Facilitate knowledge transfer, user training, and ongoing optimisation to ensure long-term success.
- Prepare for what’s next. As the project progresses, you’ll play a vital role in future module rollouts, including time scheduling and other Workday enhancements.
What do you need?- Expertise in Workday HCM, with a specialisation in Advanced Compensation & Performance – Hands-on experience designing, configuring, and optimising these modules.
- Workday HCM Core Certification is a big advantage
- A strategic mindset – You don’t just configure systems; you advise, challenge, and design solutions that create lasting impact.
- Technical and analytical capability – Ability to build reports, dashboards, and calculated fields to support HR decision-making.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills – Whether working with HR leaders, finance teams, or technical specialists, you communicate with clarity and purpose.
- Proven success in Workday implementations – You’ve been through the process before and know what it takes to make a project succeed.
This is a
fully remote role working within
New Zealand business hours Monday to Friday. The contract starts as soon as possible and ends
Friday 31st October. There is a chance this may be extended.
